Photograph of the Holy Name Society convention's parade marching along a Boston street, as viewed from the West's hotel. The parade is viewed from an elevated perspective. Statler Park enters frame from the lower left side and extends along the bottom edge towards center. Beyond it, the Holy Name Society convention's parade marches along Stuart Street. The street passes through the image on an upward angle from right to left. A parade float travels the route at center. Along the side of the float, it reads, "NORTH AMERICAN MARTYRS DIED FOR THE HOLY NAME." Large crowds of spectators line both sides of the street. Some also stand in Statler Park. A block of buildings stand along the opposite side of the street. Signage across the front of the structure reads, from left to right, "[...] DAWSON'S ALE," "CROFT ALE GOOD FOOD Phil Harris CHOICE LIQUORS CROFT ALE," "PARKING DAY AND NIGHT," "PARKING DAY AND NIGHT," and "TAILOR." Atop the building, 3 billboards stand, they read, from left to right, "GULF Fuel Oil CLEAN HEAT-COMFORT," Flavor Huddle [...] PURE PORK SAUSAGE," and "Off to OFGAN[...] SERVICE PARTS [...]." A small Shell station stands along the left edge. The surrounding neighborhood stretches into the background.
