W. view of the Blas Aguilar adobe along Oriental Street in Capistrano Village, 1936. Two adobes are visible, one white-washed to the left. Cactus grows in front of the adobes. "The smaller tile roof part was said to have been built in 1794 and used as a dwelling by the mayordomos of the Capistrano Mission." Don Blas Aguilar purchased it in 1841 and it was known as the "Casa Tejada" because of the tile roof. "Don Blas was the last Alcalde of Capistrano"
