Description
Scope/Content: Statement, flier, and clippings related to UCR 1968 Homecoming, particularly the write-in campaign for Spiro Agnew for homecoming queen, which was endorsed by the Highlander student newspaper. This campaign opposed the candidacy of Renee Dawson, UCR's first Black homecoming queen. Includes ASUCR Legislative Council statement recognizing Black Student Union (BSU) grievances in the matter and apologizing for the mistreatment of Dawson and her homecoming court.
