Baker and Hamilton Company was founded by Livingston Low Baker and Robert Muirhead Hamilton, who came to California in 1849 as part of the gold rush, but who eventually gave up mining to open a hardware store in Sacramento. Baker and Hamilton also sold farming supplies and equipment. This catalog lists agricultural implements manufactured by the Benicia Agricultural Works.
