First M. E. Church surrounded by trees. A horse carriage is visible on the right. The church has a high tower and a grreen lawn in the front. The postcard is postmarked April 11, 1912 and was addressed to a Russell Clevenger. On the back of the postcard: Published by Newman Post Card Co. Los Angeles. San Francisco. The First Methodist Episcopal Church was at Spurgeon N E corner Sixth in 1912 and the Rev. Herbert E. Murkett was the pastor.
