Description
Annotations/Markings: Signed "太乙老人併_" (Taiitsu rōjin) with two seals at left edge above center. Inscription through top left quadrant reads "All the methods that restrict man don't apply to me; / What you see in this painting is my natural place. / Where peaks and ridges pull back, there is some elbow room, / Pale ink penetrates the forest and distant mountains emerge" (translated by Stephen Addiss). One additional seal at right edge center.
