Description
Hog oilers were used to kill disease-causing hog lice. Filled with insecticide oil (and in some cases, used crank case oil), they were placed in the hog pens where the pigs would rub or roll on them, distributing the oil over their bodies. Oilers were usually made of cast iron and their inventive styles and shapes were limited only by their designer's imagination.
